(Washington, DC) – In an interview with Politico, former Vice President Dick Cheney blasts President Barack Obama for projecting “weakness” to our adversaries. In response, Christopher Barron, an organizer of Draft Dick Cheney 2012, a 527 organization formed to convince the former Vice President to seek the GOP nomination for President in 2012, issued the following statement:

“Vice President Cheney once again showed why he should be our party’s standard bearer in 2012. Instead of offering the typical Washington double-talk, Dick Cheney spoke with clear conviction about the dangerous path taken by this administration.”

“Vice President Cheney has been an unwavering leader in the fight against global extremism and his criticism of the behavior of this administration is spot-on. President Obama should listen to his military commanders on the ground and give our brave men and women in uniform the full support of his administration.”
